The Tax Strategist CPA™ — Strategic Tax Planning & Advisory

About the Firm
The Tax Strategist CPA™ is led by Keith L. Jones, CPA, a licensed Florida CPA and former Florida Department of Revenue Senior Tax Specialist. Before entering private practice, Keith spent seven years inside the FDOR — beginning in collections, advancing through audit roles, and serving in the Audit Assistance Section. That experience provided direct exposure to how tax agencies evaluate risk, issue assessments, enforce collections, and review disputes. Today, that perspective informs both proactive planning and controversy representation.
Our work sits at the intersection of strategic tax planning and real-world tax defense. We help clients create compliant, defensible strategies built around structure, timing, documentation, and long-term decision-making. And when issues are already on the table, we represent clients in serious IRS and Florida tax matters involving audits, notices, collections actions, appeals, and sales tax disputes.
We are not a commodity tax preparation firm. Tax returns matter, but compliance alone is not the value driver. The real value comes from informed planning, disciplined execution, and advice that holds up under scrutiny.
